In the app (instant)
Open DuoVa, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account and data. Type DELETE to confirm. Everything DuoVa holds about you on its servers is deleted immediately.
You can also tick Also delete everything on this phone to remove the questions you wrote, your notes and your study progress from the phone. That cannot be undone, so make a backup first if you may want it.
What is deleted
- Notes, your own questions and study progress synced from your phones, and note images
- Your doctor profile and exam verification (the screenshot is already deleted once checked)
- Your study circle posts and challenge scores
- Notes you shared with other doctors, and the votes on them
- Reports you sent about answers
- Your DuoVa account (if you signed in with Google) and the devices linked to it
Your licence key stays valid, because you paid for it, but after deletion it is linked to none of the above.
How long it takes
Deleting in the app takes effect immediately. A request made on this page is handled by a person on the DuoVa team, who deletes the data and emails you to confirm, within 30 days.
What we keep
- Anonymous counts that cannot identify you, such as how many people opened the app on a given day.
- A note that a deletion happened, with no name, email or licence in it.
- Payment and licence-issue records, only where the law requires us to keep them. They are kept apart from your study data.
- Any block placed on an account that broke the community rules, so that deleting an account cannot be used to undo it.
Data that only exists on your phone, and any backup you made to a file or your own Google Drive, is yours to delete: uninstall the app, or delete the backup file.
